I am grateful to the Ontario Arts Council for the grant awarded to support the creation of a poetry book in French.
Poetry, I would argue, is the simplest, yet most intimate form of art.
Through its cathartic powers, it reaches deep into the human spirit, it surfaces our despair and our hopes and provides us with clarity of purpose.
Poetry is a most powerful shield in the face of adversity.
It emboldens us, enhances our creativity and makes us resilient.
I would like to invite you to support the writers of our province, in your own backyard: come to book launches and book readings, make libraries and bookstores a fun and cozy weekend destination.
Join the army of literature aficionados.
We have a long road ahead of us – let’s keep trekking!
Je suis reconnaissante au Conseil des arts de l'Ontario pour la subvention accordée afin de soutenir la création d'un recueil de poèmes en français.
La poésie est la forme d'art la plus simple, mais aussi la plus intime.
Par ses pouvoirs cathartiques, elle pénètre profondément dans l'esprit humain, fait remonter à la surface notre désespoir et nos espérances et nous apporte une clarté de but.
