Irina Moga is a Canadian writer from East York, Ontario, Canada, and the author of six poetry collections.

Her book, Variations sans palais (Éditions L’Harmattan, Paris) won the 2022 Dina Sahyouni International Literary Prize (France).

Quantum (DarkWinter Press, Canada, 2025) won The 2026 International Poetry prize of the Claudine de Tencin Academy.

Irina's poems, short stories and reviews have appeared widely in Canada, the United States, and France in publications such as Canadian Literature, carte blanche, Contemporary Verse 2, Hotch Potch Literature and Arts, New York Quarterly, California Quarterly, Split Rock Review, Lettres Capitales and Le Pan poétique des muses.

Her work has been nominated for the SFPA Rhysling Award and Best of the Net.

Moga’s poetry has been translated into German, Spanish, Korean and Farsi.

A hallmark of Moga’s poetics is her fusion of the cerebral and the sensory.

Her work is rooted in the belief that poetry is not just an act of expression, but an immersive experience—an observatory of shifting realities, held together by the cadences of language.

Irina Moga is member of The Writers’ Union of Canada, The League of Canadian Poets, The Association of Italian Canadian Writers, Federation of B.C. Writers, and The Ontario Poetry Society.
