A Cup of Coffee

I am glad to have my poem "Coffee" featured in an avant-prèmiere of Issue 002 of the literary magazine "Phylum Press".
I responded to their call for submissions on the theme of "weeping willow."
I found this theme somewhat difficult to respond to, which in turn focused my thoughts on how to integrate it into a poem. From here, the theme led me to what I consider to be an ending with an "oomph."
(I've written poems with open endings, but I find that closed endings interest me more, ever so often.)
I am grateful to the editors of "Phylum Press"for accepting this poems, and I look forward to seeing it in print.
